Save water!
The campaign encourages you to reduce your water consumption in everyday life. The campaign runs from 1 October 2026 to 31 March 2027. During the campaign, you can help your property do well in the water-saving competition and take part in the Vesiteko prize draw with your own water-saving tip.
Competition for properties
Water consumption in the properties is monitored throughout the campaign. At the end of the campaign, the property that has reduced its water consumption the most will receive €500 to improve the comfort of living in the property. The use of the prize will be decided at a residents' meeting in autumn 2027. All residents of the property can take part in the meeting.
Competition period and participating properties
The competition is organised by Espoon Asunnot Oy. The competition period is from 1 October 2026 to 31 March 2027. No registration is required.
All properties completed before 1 October 2025 for which reliable and comparable water consumption data is available automatically take part in the competition.
The water consumption of each property from 1 October 2026 to 31 March 2027 is compared with the water consumption of the same property from 1 October 2025 to 31 March 2026. Every resident can affect their property's result through their own water use.
Espoon Asunnot may exclude a property from the calculation of results if comparable data is not available, for example because of a measurement error, a water leak, a renovation or another exceptional situation. New buildings and properties that have undergone a major renovation are also excluded from the competition if consumption data for the previous year is not available for them.
Calculation of results
The competition result is calculated by comparing the property's total water consumption during the competition period with its total water consumption during the comparison period.
The number of residents or the occupancy rate of a property may change significantly between the two periods. In such cases, Espoon Asunnot may exclude the property from the calculation of results if the effect of the change cannot be assessed reliably.
Winner and prize
The property with the largest percentage reduction in water consumption wins the competition. If two or more properties have the same result, the winner will be drawn from among them.
The winner will be announced in spring 2027, when the water consumption data for all properties in the competition is available. Espoon Asunnot will contact the residents' committee of the winning property or, if the property does not have a residents' committee, another contact person.
The winner will also be announced in Espoon Asunnot's communication channels.
The winning property will receive €500 to improve the comfort of living in the property. The use of the prize will be decided at a residents' meeting in autumn 2027. All residents of the property can take part in the meeting.

Do you have a good way to save water at home? Send us your own water-saving tip and take part in the Vesiteko prize draw. Every month, we will draw one €50 S Group gift card among everyone who has sent a tip.
Prize draw period and eligibility
The prize draw is organised by Espoon Asunnot Oy. There will be six prize draws, held between 1 October 2026 and 31 March 2027.
All residents of Espoon Asunnot aged 18 or over can take part in the prize draw. Employees of Espoon Asunnot and their family members cannot take part.
How to take part in the prize draw
To take part in the prize draw, send a water-saving tip using the campaign online form. You can send several tips during a month, but you will only be included once in that month's prize draw.
A tip is only included in the prize draw for the month in which it was sent. The form must be sent by 23:59 on the last day of the month. Your entry is valid only if the contact details you give on the form are correct.
Prizes
During the campaign (1 October 2026 to 31 March 2027), six S Group gift cards worth €50 each will be drawn, one in each campaign month. The total value of the prizes is €300.
Each month's winner will be drawn at the beginning of the following month from among everyone who took part in that month's prize draw in accordance with the prize draw rules. The same person can win only one gift card during the campaign.
The prize cannot be exchanged for cash or for another prize. The gift card will be sent to the address given on the online form.
Use of water-saving tips
Espoon Asunnot may use the tips sent to the prize draw in the communications of the Vesiteko campaign. Your name can be published only if you give permission for this on the online form.
Processing of personal data
Participants' personal data is processed for the purpose of organising the prize draw and sending the prizes. The data will be deleted after the last prize draw, once all prizes have been sent.
