Problems in housing

This section gives you advice on how to deal with different housing problems. Here you will find information on what to do if your home needs repairing or if you have not paid your rent. You will also learn what to do if there are disturbances in your building or if you notice pests on the property or in your apartment.

We hope you feel at home. If you have any problems related to your housing, it’s important to act without delay.

Remember these principles:

Respect deadlines – Your primary obligation as a tenant is to pay your rent by the due date, which is the 4th of each month.

Do not delay – Problems can get worse if you do not deal with them on time.

Check who is responsible – The responsibility table shows you which maintenance and repair tasks are your responsibility, and which are handled by the lessor, maintenance company or another party.

Contact the right party – If you have a problem paying your rent, inform Espoon Asunnot. If there is a fault in your apartment, report it to the maintenance company using residents’ online service EAsy.
