Only actively used outdoor equipment may be stored in outdoor equipment storage facilities

Outdoor equipment storage facilities can only be used to store bicycles and other outdoor equipment that is used regularly. Equipment that can be stored includes regularly used prams, rolling walkers and other outdoor equipment as well as sledges and steerable sledges in winter.

You are allowed to keep one actively used bicycle per resident in the outdoor equipment storage facility. If a resident has two bicycles, one of them can be stored in their apartment-specific storage space. Similarly, if a piece of outdoor equipment is not in regular use, it must be stored in the apartment-specific storage space.

Other items, such as car tyres and furniture, may not be stored in the outdoor equipment storage facility. Extra items take up space from the outdoor equipment that is actually in use and pose a fire safety risk.

Broken and discarded items may not be stored in the outdoor equipment storage facility either. Each resident is responsible for the removal of their discarded items. You can take large, broken items to a Sortti Station and items in good condition to the Reuse Centre. Both of these services offer a pick-up service, which is subject to a fee that the resident must pay themselves.

Charging and storing batteries in the outdoor equipment storage facility is prohibited

Electric bicycles and electric kick scooters can be stored in the outdoor equipment storage facility, as long as their batteries are removed. Do not charge or store batteries in the outdoor equipment storage facility, as they may cause a fire.

Storing electric scooters, mopeds and other motor vehicles as well as fuels in the outdoor equipment storage facility is also prohibited for fire safety reasons.

Thank you for keeping the outdoor equipment storage facility clean and safe!
