Problems in waste collection

Due to the snow situation, waste collection in the Helsinki metropolitan area is late or even interrupted. HSY has stopped emptying cardboard waste to provide additional capacity for emptying mixed waste bins. For the time being, HSY instructs residents to take only odorous waste to waste collection. If possible, cardboard, plastic and glass waste should be stored on the balcony, until the situation is normal.
